Sunshine Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
The school offers two instructional pathways: a Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program and a Multilingual Program (MLP) in Farsi-Dari and Pashto. These programs are designed to support both academic achievement and language development while aligning with California State Standards.

Sunshine Charter School is designed to serve students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
For the 2026-2027 school year, the school will open with:
Multilingual Program (MLP): Serving grades TK-6, and will expand by one grade level each year until reaching Grade 8
Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program: Serving Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten, and will expand by one grade level each year until reaching Grade 5
Sunshine Charter School is a tuition-free public charter school open to all California residents, with no entrance exams required. If applications exceed capacity, a public lottery will be conducted.
Yes, Sunshine Charter School is a tuition-free school. As a public charter school, we provide free educational opportunities from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade to all enrolled students.
Yes, uniforms are required to promote a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment. Assistance is available to ensure all students have access regardless of financial need.
Uniforms are provided at production cost, and Sunshine Charter School offers assistance and scholarships for families in need to ensure all students have access.

You can enroll your child by completing the online application form. Additional details, timelines, and enrollment instructions will be available on our website.
For grades K-8, drop-off begins at 7:45 am, followed by morning enrichment and daily assembly from 8:00 to 8:30 am The instructional day runs from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Morning Session: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Afternoon Session: 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm
A detailed schedule will be provided to families prior to the start of the school year.
